NEC3 : Engineering and Construction Contract Advanced Workshop

This is an advanced course for delegates with practical experience of using the NEC3 : Engineering and Construction Contract. Case studies will be used throughout the day to illustrate and explain issues which may be encountered on the contract.

Session 4 - Compensation Events

• Overview of Change Management
• Definitions of compensation events
• Time scales - Notification Procedures
• Quotations for Compensation Events
• The effect of early warnings

Session 5 - Payment Issues

• Assessment, certification and payment
• Payment methods under Options A to F.
• Late or non payment

Session 6 - Dispute resolution

• Preventing problems
• Resolving disputes - Adjudication and Tribunal

1 day (6 hrs) IPD/CPD
