First Aid at Work (4 days)

Aims & Objectives:

To train and certificate personnel in the First Aid at Work qualification meeting with the requirements of the HSE (First Aid) Regulations (1981) and the approved code of practise L47 guidelines.

  • Poisons and harmful substances
  • Controlling
  • Minor and severe bleeds
  • Crush injuries
  • Casualty examination
  • Management and transport of serious head injuries
  • Eye injuries
  • Burns i.e. scalds, chemical burns and electrical burns
  • First aid equipment and records keeping
  • Advice on hygiene
  • Hepatitis B, HIV and Aids
