Overview:

A one day course designed to increase knowledge, confidence and awareness of Mental Health.

Everyone has Mental Health, and many people fear Mental Ill Health, this can lead to problems for individuals and organisations. By attending this course, the myths can be burst, and discrimination minimised

  • Describe the main diagnosable conditions
  • Recognise their own prejudices and fears around Mental Health
  • Describe the main sections of the Mental Health Act
  • Develop an action plan for implementation upon return to the workplace
  • Develop strategies for their own well-being

  • Better knowledge of Mental Health and diagnosable conditions and their effects
  • Increased knowledge of the Mental Health Act

  • Increased knowledge and awareness and the ability to apply this in the workplace and in their personal lives.
  • A reduction in the stress and stigma caused by the perception of mental health/ill-health in the workplace
