NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health & Safety

Overview:

The NEBOSH Construction Certificate is recognised as the premium health and safety qualification for the construction industry. The Certificate is designed for people who are involved within the construction industry and need to provide advice on health, safety & welfare on a day to day basis. It provides delegates with a good foundation in safety management issues to ensure the health and safety implications of their decisions are properly taken into account.

Aims & Objectives:

At the end of this workshop, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the main requirements and application of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007.
  • Understand the factors to consider when carrying out a site assessment; identify construction activity hazards, assess the risks and recommend control measures.
  • Identify the hazards & and outline appropriate control measures in the following areas: movement of people & vehicles, manual & mechanical handling, work equipment, electrical, chemical & biological, physical & psychological, working at height, excavation work & confined spaces & demolition.
  • Successfully carry out a safety inspection of a construction workplace identifying hazards, recommending control measures and preparing a management report

Mode of Delivery:

Delegates will sit NEBOSH examinations on the last day of the course. Delegates must pass the two written papers plus a practical assessment.
