Our Highway Drainage Design course provides an overview and will raise awareness of the importance of good design and ongoing effectiveness of surface water drainage systems.

Overview:

The increasing frequency of flooding and a growing awareness of the effects of climate change are drivers towards a greater recognition of the importance of well designed, effective surface water drainage systems.

Aims & Objectives:

 

  • To emphasize the significance of controlling pollution and containing storm outflows
  • To give practical instruction in the design of surface and sub-soil drainage systems.

On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • Recognise the threats presented by inadequate drainage systems
  • Apply the acquired skills and knowledge to design of surface and sub-surface systems
