Introduction to Microsoft Project Management

Overview:

A practical guide to the use of MICROSOFT PROJECT 2000/2002- Project Planning Computer Software

Aims & Objectives:

  • To familiarise potential users with the major features of the programme.
  • To develop an ability to enter project programmes, to add resources and costs to the entered project, and view the results.
  • To develop confidence in the use of the software so as to enable users to develop their planning skills.

Course Outline:

Introduce the role and function of the planning and control of projects, and demonstrate how the use of Microsoft Project can aid to this process. This is demonstrated through examples and "hands on" exercises on how to apply the package to a range of planning situations e.g. human resource management, design projects and construction operations. Also the application of the programme to the subsequent monitoring and control processes, including time and cost management.
