Hazard Awareness Training (2 days)

Overview:

One of the fundamental ingredients of effective safety management is hazard identification, risk assessment and preventative action. The need to identify hazards, assess risks, and select, implement and monitor preventive action is an essential foundation of safety management. Regulation 3 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 requires all employers and self employed persons to assess the risk to workers and any others who may be affected by their work or business. This course has been designed to provide tuition for those who have been given the responsibility to manage health and safety in their place of work. This one day course is an ideal opportunity to obtain a clear understanding of the formal processes of undertaking risk assessment presented by a former inspector with many years experience of enforcing health and safety legislation.

Aims & Objectives:

This course has been designed to be run at the employer's premises using a proactive approach to learning. The delegates will undertake a mock audit to obtain raw data in teams.
