Overview:
Recruiting, Selecting and Promoting the right staff is crucial to the efficiency and effectiveness of any organisation. If you choose the wrong person!!! This workshop looks at how to use best practice when recruiting and selecting candidates for interview and how to promote those staff with potential to succeed in their new role.
The aim of this one-day workshop is to explore how to maximise your chance
of recruiting, selecting and promoting the 'right' person to fill your organisation's
needs.
Aims & Objectives:
By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
- Assess vacancy requirements
- Increase their awareness of equal opportunities legislation
- Describe the role and importance of an accurate person specification and job description
- Understand the role of a competence framework in recruitment, selection & promotion
- Devise and prepare an effective recruitment advert
- Set fair sift criteria for recruitment, selection & promotion schemes
- Describe what an induction programme should include
- Assess what would form a basis for promotability
- Compile an action plan to implement their individual learning points from the workshop
A highly participative day of short tutor inputs, group sessions and individual
work, which provides participants with an opportunity to explore and share
best practice in relation to recruitment, selection and promotion.
